Grooming the Llama - Winamp 5.541 is Now Available

A little grooming and maintenance can go a long way!

And that's exactly what we did with today's release of Winamp 5.541. We gave the Llama a little love by adding some great improvements & key bug fixes. I wanted to take this chance to thank everyone for their feedback on the blog & forums. Special thanks to all of the beta testers! We appreciate all the input & feedback.

Below are some Winamp 5.54 highlights:

* Improved AOL Radio navigation
* Improved commerce (Buy Now) results
* New Artist level commerce feature
* New iPod auto-detection feature
* Numerous usability improvements to 'Now Playing'
* Various enhancements & bug fixes for the client & web pages

2. Did this release also change the demo file from "Winamp (Winamp) It really whips the Llama's ass!" to "Winamp (Winamp) It really whips the Llama's *bleat*"? I found that tragic to find and EDITED version of the demo!

3. Actually, we will... or at least for Brazilian Portuguese! We've recently started working with one of our community developers who has created a language pack for Brazilian Portuguese. We hope to have it available soon.

5. Hi
I am a long time fan of Winamp but when downloading the 5541 version I received a devious "present" attached; namely Trojan Horse called SHeur in the zlib.dll file of the program. Could someone explain this and also help me the obtain a clean version of the Winamp.

6. Sorry didn't see this comment. Don't worry. It's a false positive. AVG antivirus is currently reporting a false-positive in zlib.dll in the Winamp setup. Check out DJ Egg's forum post - http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=298122

7. Can Some One Please Teel Me Why I cannot Get In Contact With Winamp Or Digital River? I Have A Few Questions Concerning Winamp. The Media Player Will Not Let Me Rip Cd's At The Speed THAT I DESIGNATE, No Genre Or Year Dates In The Media Library. Whats Going On? There Are No Folder Files Added To The Library. Why Are There No Folders Added To The Library To Keep Every T-hing In Order? Like In Music Match Juke Box. Thanks Bobbyblue47@Charter.Net
