facebook .... 1. Here are a few suggestions for features for Winamp's media library:
1. In the media library, you should be able to sort tracks in the following order: Artist, Year, Album, Track (currently when you click the Artist column to sort by Artist, it sorts by Artist, Album, Track). This way, albums would show up in their order of release instead of alphabetically by album title.
2. When Winamp advances to a new track, the playlist automatically moves to that track. It would be nice if there were an option for the media library to do that as well. It's nice to be able to easily browse other songs by the same artist/album that you're currently listening to.
3. The feature that allows you to enqueue songs that are currently in the playlist from the media library is great. However, this is not very easy to do - you need to right-click the song, and go to "Sent To: Add to queue". It would be very nice if there were an easier way to do this, such as a button in the media library.
Thanks!
2. One more suggestion:
When syncing an iPod, there should be an option to automatically export media library Smart View as playlists on the iPod. Currently you can do this by right-clicking each Smart View and going to "Send to: Media Library Playlist". This is a bit cumbersome to do each time you sync, so it would be much better if it could be done automatically.
4. #1s point nr 2 about the "now playing" selecting in the ML would be highly appreciated. I've been looking for plugins to do the same but I can't find them.
Also I'd like to see some sort of albumseperator in the list view of the library. There is a nice plugin for that on the forum, but that one only works in the playlist editor. The idea is that you can see in one quick view where an album ends. Even better would be to add an column for albumart. Actually this is the best thing the two biggest rivals of winamp; WMP and iTunes got to offer. Other than that, winamp rules.
6. Hello. I am in need of some help in trying to make sense of the Winamp Equalizer bands when keys are pressed to provide the best data back to a screen reader. I have posted to the forums with no luck. Any chance of getting in touch with a Winamp team member to discuss this issue?
7. You're doing Good guys! Just two observations, we need two types of Winamps...
1. Winamp for the Nokia Symbian S60 smartphone platform.
2. An official release of Portable Winamp to run standalone on flash drives, without registery interference. Relying on third party hacked Winamps is no way to live.
Thanks for the hard work.
9. LEGIBILITY !! I'm looking for a skin that makes the number representing the duration of an mp3 file very easy to read even when I'm up late and my contacts have dried out turning the world a bit blurry. High contrast, large size, decent colors (may all the people who program yellow text on white backgrounds RIH). I tried the obvious key words in search. It would be nice if I could put in a slew or urls for mp3s or other audio formats and get the duration figures in a list but that isn't necessary. Getting this mumber is actually the main thing I use WinAmp for. Any suggestions?
11. I subscribe to many podcasts, several of which are pay and require a login to be able to download which currently simply gives me "Invalid Link (404 or timeout) it does replicate with Dj Egg. Please include the login ability so i can finally FINALLY be free of the bloated fruity competitor. I'm begging. I've gone to the forums. Gone to Admins. Now I'm putting it in the comments. It seems easy enough. I ask again. PLEASE.Also. I pay for PRO. So help. NOW!
16. I love this blog i think you guys are doing a great job at that i would like to kind of see more functions on winamp and more stations

17. I love Winamp; easy to use and rich in features.... BUT,
(and maybe it's because it's so rich in features, I can't find it), after rating hundreds of cuts it would be nice to be able to easily create a 5-star playlist, or to add just the 5-star rated cuts in or under a directory. (or 2-star, etc).
If you have that feature, I'd sure like to know where it's documented because I've spent a lot of time looking! If you don't have that feature, consider it my contribution to the cause (the idea, that is).
One part genius. Three parts llama. And a sprinkling of corporate AOL. That's what Winamp is all about.
