QA = Quality + Assurance
Imagine you have a nice hotel and on an average you have 2.5 million hungry customers visiting daily. How would you give them the best food in terms of quality? Got the picture? Welcome to Winamp Quality Assurance team. Quality for us means catering to our user base so that they have a seamless experience with Winamp.
Winamp has almost 77 million unique visitors every month! We are very proud to say that, but there's a catch too.
Logically, millions of users roughly translates into tonnes of combination of hardwares, softwares, operating systems, browsers and above all.. user expectations!
It's indeed a top priority for us to make sure you are one happy Winamp user and we are very determined to squash each and every bug and say "Hasta la vista, baby" :)
However there may be times when we may not be able to squash all the bugs at one go. So we go head-on with the nasty ones first.
Winamp QA team is not just a bunch of bug hungry people. We have a kind heart too! :)
We would be glad if you join us in our quest of serving quality stuff to our ever growing audience - which you are already!
There are number of ways to reach us. Make use of Winamp Forums, Blog, Feed back form etc. and tell us what's your likes and dislikes.
We are commited to make Winamp the Number 1 media player.
Llama loves you.. So do we!

facebook .... 3. if this post was in response to my comment on the previous post, first i want to thank you for the response.
but allow me to clarify... there are a lot of KNOWN issues, and KNOWN bugs in winamp right now, my request is to concentrate on fixing all such known issues (bugs or unintended behaviors) before adding any new features. jmho.
4. It's been three weeks - where's the patch for the AIFF processing buffer overflow vulnerability (Secunia Advisory SA33478)?
Any media player which allows remote system access just by opening a media file cannot be number one!

One part genius. Three parts llama. And a sprinkling of corporate AOL. That's what Winamp is all about.
