By now, we hope you've had a chance to download Winamp 5.58 and check out the new features. As we mentioned in an earlier post, one of the highlights was the overhaul to the Podcast Directory. Not only is there a cleaner, more streamlined UI, but you can easily discover over 30,000 podcasts thanks to Mediafly's extensive directory.
With that said, thought it would be a good idea to cover some of our configuration options. If you go to Options >> Preferences (or just click Ctrl+P), you'll launch the Preferences window. In the left nav, select "Podcast Directory" (under Media Library). From there you have the following options:


4. I like winamp compare with the straight-jacket of itunes. However I'd like to know how I can change the "download new episodes" to more than 5. Is the number 5 a hard-coded limit? If so why?
I am subscribing to a new podcast and there are 9 or 10 recent episodes that I haven't heard, how do I download them? For example I want to sync with an iPod, to play them on the road when I'm travelling. It seems a bit arbitrary to only allow a limit of 5. I have plenty of space on my PC and ipod...
