Winamp for AndroidTM is now in Beta!
Winamp, the Ultimate Media Player, is now available in beta on AndroidTM (2.1 OS and above). It offers a complete media management solution by seamlessly syncing with the Winamp desktop library. In addition to high quality playback and persistent player controls, Winamp for Android offers wireless sync with your Winamp Desktop (Winamp 5.59 beta required). Standard USB syncing also available.
What You'll Need To Do:
- Download & install the beta version of the Winamp desktop application from our forums.
- From your Android phone, download & install the beta version of the Winamp for Android. You can either scan the below QR code with your phone or search for "Winamp" in the Android Market.
A complete Android media management solution, that seamlessly syncs with your Winamp desktop library (USB or Wi-Fi).
Wireless Desktop Sync
No need to tie your Android phone down. Enable Wi-Fi sync and leave your cable behind (Winamp 5.59 beta required).
Persistent Player Controls
Quickly pause, change tracks, manage your play queue, see what's playing and access the Winamp home screen.
Play Queue Management
The play queue is a temporary track listing that allows you to easily select and sort tracks. And if you like, save it as a playlist.
Widget Players & Shortcuts
Add playlist shortcuts and the widget player to the Android home screen. As well as enable playback control from the lock-screen.
Now Playing
Displays song info, album art and more. Press and hold on the song info to interact with other apps like Pandora, YouTube and the Amazon MP3 Store.
Scrobbling
Supports scrobbling with the Last.fm app installed (on your Android device). Capturing all of your mobile listening history in real time.

Winamp@droid - GREAT JOB :) ...but, can You add "play folder", "add files from folder"? Non of android apps cant do this, maby WA will be the first one, it will be great!

22. Nice. Love WinAmp on the PC. If we can replace album art and have gapless playback that would be fantastic - and I will be even more happy if I finally have a music player that does not stop while in background while I am using another application.

24. sounds like a powerful integrated solution. I´m waiting for a system replacing itunes+ipod.
Most important feature is the possibility to sync back ratings (and playcount) needed for intelligent playlists.

30. Hi!. I posted on the Market page as well, but I thought I might aswell chime in here too.
Love what you guys have done. I've been using ^3 for awhile as my base music player, but Winamp is already more intuitive. As a small low-rez (320x240) Android phone user, Winamp doesn't, however, display all of its information on the Now Playing screen. The track info clips and disappears under the timestamp bar. So, for users with similar form factors, I'd like to request removing the album art altogether and replacing it with the "searchable" track/album info (maybe adding next in queue there too!).

32. the device is Discovered in the Media Library, but i cant Attach it, just says connecting then nothing. HTC Desire official Android 2.2.

33. Loving Winamp for Android! It's a really quick compared to other media players on my HTC Wildfire.
Wishlist (in order of preference):
1. Replaygain support
2. FLAC support
3. Equalizer (to cut the HTC Wildfire's ott bass)

37. O.K. Installed WinAmp on my DroidX, I like the interface, search, etc. . . . but, how can I play music from my phone while plugged into a USB (charging my phone). Not doing any transfers, etc. but I can't access my SC card with my USB plugged in???? Would be nice to have the phone plugged to power and be able to access SD card to play tunes . . . Thank you.
