12. @rTiGd2 Were you able see your phone in the Devices view? Make sure both your phone and device are on the same wi-fi network, make sure you enabled wi-fi sync in the Winamp for Android app, and make sure your phone is not in sleep mode. Here's a like to the wi-fi sync tutoria for step by step instructionsl - http://blog.winamp.com/2010/11/30/wirelessly-sync-music-to-your-android-phone/
13. Thanks for the update! Love the new icon on Android :-). Is there any plan to support on-board storage? More and more phones are coming with varying amounts of storage built onto the phone and anything the user puts on it just rots away since Winamp can't access it. :(
16. so glad winamp came out with an app for android as i love winamp on my desktop for years. i do wish there are more ability for tweaking settings on the app though. and also wish that you have better gapless playback and stuff like that. but i understand this is beta still.
17. Droid Incredible. Rooted. Froyo. Verizon FiOS wireless. Windows 7 32bit.
I can connect to my home wifi and everything works fine. I can surf and download on my phone perfectly. I can even see my 192.168.1.4 dynamic IP address on the phone. Winamp will not see it, though. When using 5.59 it "discovered" my phone about 10% of the time, now it has never discovered it since upgrading the app and desktop. I hit "Discover" and it flashes something that presume says "discovering" or something, then it stops. Nothing is ever discovered. I have gone though the sync process steps.
I noticed that I cannot ping my phone from my desktop. Not sure if that would have anything to do with this. Again, this *has* worked very occasionally, but not at all recently. This may be related to the next paragraph.
Another possible cause could be the Windows 7 "homegroups." I have two desktops, one wireless and one wired. When on the same homegroup, they can see each other. When they are on different homegroups, they can not see each other. I suspect maybe my phone is defaulting to some other homegroup and is therefor invisible. Again, this has worked before, so this may be a red herring.
Also, when syncing via USB instead, even though I tell it to sync 3 specific playlists, it always tells me it's going to sync all 7000+ songs. The three playlists only have about 1000 songs total. The default in preferences is to sync just the three playlists selected.
18. Not a huge fan. I downloaded it hoping that I could browse music by the folders on my SD card, but it only allows you to arrange by song, artist, album or playlist. There's no way to play by folder, and song view aggregates all of the folders into a massive list of files.
One part genius. Three parts llama. And a sprinkling of corporate AOL. That's what Winamp is all about.
