5. I hope that winamp android would have this key feature that I had always enjoyed from winamp:
1) Equalizer
2) m3u Support.
3) Jump to song
4) Themes! (ok this is a bit stupid...)
5) Enable Plugins for other to develops...
besides this winamp droid is PERFECT for me... keep up the good work!

6. When will we be able to properly select files to add to the playlist? Folder by folder, instead of just having all files in the same list and try to select the correct order...

Pedro - although you can't go folder by folder. you can add songs individually to the play queue (long hold on each track and select "Enqueue"). And then once you've added all the tracks.. save the queue as a playlist.

9. Winamp for Android used to work flawlessly until they started aiming for quantity of features rather than quality. I was willing to stick with it in hopes that they will fix some of the issues but I just recently noticed that it requires permissions to "retrieve running applications" and "read system log files". The latter of which could theoretically be used for debugging but the former of which is unacceptable to me without an explanation, which brings me here.

Does anyone know why Winamp for Android needs to know what other apps are running?

Thanks for posting your feedback.

For the "read system log files" permission, you are correct. We only use that to help troubleshoot and debug. For example if you have an issue on a certain type of device, you can send us feedback through the app%u2019s Settings page. This sends us an e-mail with your comments and the log file.

The "retrieve running applications" permission is for the Intent API, a standard and pretty common API. Basically it allows Winamp to launch other installed apps based on the Now Playing data.

For example, you're listening to song X in Winamp you can: launch the YouTube app with search results based on the artist/track title, create a Pandora station based of off the track, launch the browser search, etc.

To see this feature, go to the Now Playing page, tap on the screen to surface the overlay menu. Now tap on our %u201CExtras%u201D menu%u2026 this is the button with %u201C%u2026%u201D (ellipses).

15. How can I get it to continue playing while I use other apps? For instance I want to play a file with Winamp, then press the home key and start my Kindle app (or something). If I do that Winamp exits/closes when I press the home or back key. Is there a setting somewhere to fix this?

17. The application is great, but could in the near future as all of us who use Android applications and devices so of course it is necessary to use an equalizer and that of course raises the graphical display. Just like a real eq to work on the PC version.

18. There are many users using Android 2.1 version. So you need to focus on update versions WinAPM Android just from that version onwards. But throw bass equalizer just there .... Having already written and there are a million and more users, it's time for a real update !!!???

19. SHOUTcast does not work on versions of Android's 2.1. I own the LG GT540 and I noticed that just spins endlessly priko starting any SHOUTcast-a. If someone could tell me something more about it ...? I tried over WiFi and via legacy network apn's. Does not work in any one form. By working on 1.1 and so on, but here are among the newer versions yet can not
