Winamp is looking for beta testers to provide feedback on cutting edge features for our Android app.
The Nullsoft team recently launched Winamp Labs for Mac (Winamp for Mac now in beta) and as of today we are expanding the Winamp Labs program to include our Android app. In a nutshell, Winamp Labs provides users access to our latest beta features and experiments with the goal of getting quality feedback to help improve the final product.
Since we are expanding Winamp Labs for Android users, we are now actively looking for Android beta testers. So if you've been eager to get your hands on new features before they're available publicly, here's what we are looking for:
Beta Tester for Winamp for Android:
- Familiar with the Winamp app as well as the desktop Winamp Media Player (Mac or PC)
- Familiar with syncing between Winamp for Android & the Winamp desktop player (Mac or PC)
- Running Android OS 2.1 or above
- Multiple devices (e.g. handset and tablet) is a plus, but not required.
If interested, send an e-mail to feedback-android-beta@winamp.com. Please also provide the following information:
- Your Name
- Email Address associated with your Google ID
- Have you purchased Winamp for Android "Pro" (or Pro Bundle) on Android?
- Device type (tablet vs. handset)
- Device Manufacturer
- Device Model
- Android OS
If you are selected, we will send you a follow-up e-mail with instructions on how to get the beta APK. As well as information on which feature(s) to test. Your participation could land you some limited edition Winamp SWAG.

4. Winamp has become really crappy for playback.
I have win 7 x64 on a quad processor, and with minimal processes running winamp is constantly stuttering during songs, at least 4 -6 songs per hour stutter.
I can't believe I updated winamp and am getting crappy performance. I guess after all these years I should give up and uninstall it.

6. @chris taylor... winamp is good for me, it performs perfect in my win7 64 structure. i dont have any compliant using winamp. i can even strream music in the net with out experiencing any probs... thanks to winamp

7. Hope winamp can settle the problem for samsung galaxy ace android especially when adobe flash player is needed in some cases,hope its still free to get adobe flash player syncing with winamp..

when is winamp avalible on that os?
i still think winamp is bether than rytmbox (default player).
