An awesome new Now Playing experience is available in the Winamp Media Player (PC Desktop) with an updated design and new content.

The new Now Playing is full of exciting features:

Responsive Design:
You'll now see a tablet reader style design that's responsive to your player size and fits neatly alongside your player controls. Want to see more content? Make your player bigger and more stories will float in. Need to save space? Make your player smaller and stories will float to a new smaller page size. You will find yourself doing this over and over just to watch the cool animation.

Auto-Refresh & Search:
Now Playing refreshes with every track change to display content about the artist of the currently playing track. This is a great companion for listening to a SHOUTcast radio station or Winamp playlist.

Top Content & Specific Content Sections:
Each Now Playing artist page is presented in a modular intuitive design, with a "TOP" tab – which presents the top article, video, latest tour dates, and bio summary, and sections - for drilling down into each content type section (e.g. all videos for the artist).

New Backend:
We've added new partners to a shiny new real-time backend to provide better content, cover more artists, and deliver a faster experience.

Top Content:
Relegence, a neighbor here at Aol, aggregates articles in real time about each artist. We've also teamed with the biggest names in music content: Vevo for videos, Wikipedia for bios, Musicbrainz for artist directory and discographies, and Jambase for tour dates (and we're not stopping here – stay tuned for more).

5. I have winamp pro, its great only some of the karaoke features like vocals off dont work and I cant get rid of the vocal tracks, but the player and the song maker built in is fabulous. I didnt know it was thers but if it had audo controls to adjust the music so karaoke backing tracks dont play, only vocals then its a great jukebox player but it displays the song list and prints which is great. Its better than Karake which I paid $110 for but if Win amp is the ultimate karaoke player playing all formats including Blue Ray & Hdd then it would be number one. I use it for a Karake player its great for my recordings but when I play custom mp3g's it plays the vocals as well as words on screen that I cant control which is sad, the rest is fabulous thank you. I love karaoke I supply free music to charities and the poor and winamp has been marvelous. Mini Lyric should be added as an additional feature to make karaoke, too bad it hasnt got cdg ripping and editing. The Jukeboxer too is fabulous wouldnt it be great of winamp had key control. record feature. and full screen controls. I bought the last mode,l it has a song book printer thars great better than Karaoke. Keep improving make winamp the ultimate Juke box and karaoke machiene then its worht the money any day. Dont forget HDD & Blueray an all disc player would be marvellous ....thanks Peter Sokolowskyj....Sokoblast Karaoke. Jukeboxer is the best freeby but if Winamp can match then it will be fantastic but wishn and hopin maybe some day. thanks Guys

7. Have installed newest version 5.63 and must say it has improved a lot since I used winamp. with the now playing and exfm it gives very good info and further references for the songs played. Quality of sound is very good.
Winamp, however, has become large as for the simple audio/video I still prefer VLC player, small, quick and just what you need to play music.

10. Excellent PC music & video player. HOWEVER, it absolutely sucks when it comes to syncing with a Sony Walkman MP3 player. Plus, it changes ID info, even if the song is write-protected. Cannot find a way of stopping that!!!!!!!!!!!

14. I used Winamp on a PC with SB Audigy soundcard. Great midi player with my own Soundfonts.
Now I have installed Winamp 5.63 on a laptop. Midi playback is absolutely bad. What now? How do I use my soundfonts now? Mew skin makes changing preferences difficult - can't find a menu to change them.
Previous classi skin was much better.
